Joliet homeowners don't need another sales pitch about their roof — they need someone who shows up, explains what's actually wrong, and fixes it right the first time.
Before Roof Repair Smedway was a name on a truck, our foremen were already up on ladders across Joliet, IL, figuring out which shingle brands actually hold their seal through a rough season and which ones just look good in a showroom.
Every lead technician we send to a Joliet property carries current Joliet, IL licensing and full insurance, and we'll produce that paperwork before you ask twice.
Every Hail Damage Roof Repair job, from a single flashing repair to a full Joliet tear-off, gets built to the same standard: the one that holds up, not the one that's fastest to invoice.
Every lead installer carries current Joliet, IL credentials.
A midnight call gets the same urgency as a noon call.
Every price is itemized, not eyeballed over the phone.
Crews dispatched from within Joliet, IL, not another region entirely.
A roof rarely just fails one day — it usually spends months quietly showing signs that get written off as cosmetic.
The earlier one of these signs gets a proper look, the smaller the repair usually stays; waiting rarely makes a roof problem cheaper to fix.
If the water coming off your downspouts looks gritty, the shingle surface is thinner than it should be.
Shingles that curl at the edges have lost flexibility and are more likely to crack in the next windstorm.
A gap that lets light through will let rain through eventually.
A spreading brown ring on a ceiling almost always means water is tracking in from somewhere on the roof.
An unexplained bill increase is worth checking against your roof's condition.
A bare patch after high wind is a direct gap in your roof's weather barrier that needs covering right away.
We split our work into specific service lanes because a wind-lifted shingle and a full system replacement need completely different crews and timelines.
Read through the categories and you'll usually recognize your own roof problem in one of them — that's intentional, since we scope calls the same way we've organized this list.
Active leaks get priority dispatch — a temporary cover first, a proper repair as soon as the crew can get materials on-site.
Our residential scope covers shingle repair, full reroofs, ventilation upgrades, and skylight flashing fixes.
We schedule commercial jobs to minimize disruption to tenants and foot traffic wherever possible.
A full tear-off strips the roof to the decking, replaces any damaged boards, and rebuilds with new underlayment and shingles to current code.
A proper inspection checks flashing, fasteners, ventilation, and granule wear before small issues become leaks.
Ice-dam prevention, dormer flashing, and unusual roof pitches get handled by our senior technicians specifically.
Four steps, no surprises in between — here's exactly what happens after you pick up the phone.
After-hours calls still reach a live line for anything time-sensitive.
The inspection covers decking, flashing, and ventilation, not just the obvious visible damage.
Financing and insurance-claim questions are addressed at this stage.
A final walkthrough confirms everything matches the agreed scope.
If you've been burned by a roofing company before, these are the specific things we do differently, not just a promise that we're "better."
We give you an honest arrival window instead of a vague "sometime this week."
Every estimate is itemized so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Crews carry moisture meters and proper fall protection on every job site.
If the finished work doesn't match what was agreed, we come back and fix it at no charge.
We're not your insurance company, but we make that part of the process easier.
Our technicians explain their reasoning so you're deciding with full information.
Every job closes with a written workmanship guarantee, separate from whatever the material manufacturer already covers — if something's wrong, we come back and fix it.
We also guarantee the number on your estimate — barring a scope change you approve first, that's the number on your invoice.
We'd rather explain a guarantee in plain language upfront than have a homeowner discover the fine print later.
We stage crews across Joliet, IL so a storm hitting one part of the region doesn't leave the rest of Joliet waiting.
Routes are planned around Joliet's actual streets and access points, not a generic radius drawn on a map, which is part of why our arrival windows tend to hold up.
Coverage decisions are based on actual drive time from the nearest staged crew, not a fixed distance line on a map.
